After working in Hollywood on the movie side then going through an MFA program in creative writing I completely understand the temptation to keep TV thrills in the closet. I love Project Runway and Cake Boss. No real artist value in these for the watcher. But I definately get out there and fight about the creative integrity of shows like Grey's Anatomy and the Mentalist. They are just WELL WRITTEN! It's a different medium...but stories, back to the Greeks, have always been an outlet for our emotions. Give me my outlet and let me laugh/cry/yell at a box...even the commercials at times. LONG LIVE TV!

As a recent convert to cable, I applaud your bravery. Personally, I can't get enough of the Kardashians and the History Channel. Oh, and the Mentalist.
